Basilica di Santa Croce
The finest and most ornate of Lecce's Baroque churches is the Basilica di Santa Croce whose florid facade was the work of the local architects Zimbalo and Penna and took around 150 years to complete; its upper half is a riot of decorative garlands and flowers around a central rose window.
