The Stupinigi Palace

The Savoy dynasty's luxurious hunting lodge, the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigiis a symmetrical fantasy with a generous dash of Rococo. The exterior of the palace has been restored, while the interior is as luxurious as it ever was, also incorporating the Museo d'Arte e Ammobiliamento, a collection of art and furniture from other Savoy palaces. The most extravagant room, the oval Salone Centrale, is a dizzying triumph of optical illusion that merges fake features with real in a superb trompe l'oeil.
