2 Dark Flower Hainstr. 12–14 www.darkflower.de The goth and darkcore sister of retro club Flower Power, which occasionally strays into doom-pop such as Depeche Mode and alt-rock.
3 Distillery Kurt-Eisner-Str. 108, cnr Lösinger Str. www.distillery.de Though house and techno are the mainstays, this place off the Südmeile provides a mash-up of electro, reggae, dancehall and old-skool funk and whatever else its DJs fancy.
4 Ilses Erika Haus der Demokratie, Bernhard-Göring-Str. 152 www.ilseserika.de One block east of the Südmeile scene, this attitude-free mainstay of student life hosts a regular programme of alternative clubs in its cellar venue, including midweekers, plus sweaty gigs.
