Eating
1 Cafe Miljöö Gemüsegasse 12 Stylish traditional café with greenery and a sophisticated feel, which is good for breakfast, salad lunches and home-made cakes later on.
2 Elsa's Cuisine Paradies 2
0261/133 88 68 Exotic departure from the usual traditional German offerings, with all sorts of African bush meat on the menu – bison, crocodile, ostrich, kangaroo – and accompanied by some good French sauces. The gastronomic safari doesn't come cheap though, with mains running €11.50–26.
3 Guarida An der Liebfrauenkirche 19
0261/91 46 98 00 Spanish place with plenty of outdoor seating in the shadows of the Liebfrauenkirche. The tapas (most around €4.50) menu is lengthy and excellent, and some larger meals, salads and omelettes are available too.
4 Pizzeria La Mamma Am Plan 7
0261/177 60 Excellent Italian place with candle-lit outdoor seating on one of Koblenz's main squares. Great for pizzas (€6–10), of course, but also a range of other dishes including some excellent mussels in white-wine sauce in the winter months.
