Postwagen Krämerstr. 2 0241/350 01 Wonderfully atmospheric seventeenth-century restaurant attached to the Rathaus serving good, hearty traditional dishes such as Himmel en Erd – blood sausage with mashed potato and apple.

11 Molkerei Pontstr. 141 0241/ 489 82 One of a number of stylish café-bars that cluster around the Apollo cinema at the north end of Pontstrasse, busy much of the time and serving affordable food and cocktails to a fairly young crowd.
