Munich

Getting around

Munich's public transport ( www.mvv-muenchen.de ) includes S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams and buses. Single tickets for the central zone (which covers most of the places you'll probably want to visit with the exception of the airport and some outlying sights such as Dachau) cost €2.30; a one-day Tageskarte for the same zone costs €5. Tickets must be validated in the little blue machines on station platforms before you travel.
