Getting around
Frankfurt's public transport is integrated with the rest of the Rhine-Main region as part of the RMV network (
www.rmv.de ), which makes accessing the neighbouring cities of Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Bad Homburg by S-Bahn easy. Within the city, buses, trams and U-Bahn make navigation straightforward, though frequency of service drops noticeably in the evening. If you're only travelling a kilometre or so you can buy a Kurzstrecke ticket (€1.50), otherwise single tickets cost €2.30 and a Tageskarte €5.80 – the latter is valid until public transport shuts down for the night, and you can use it on night buses. Announcements on public transport are in both German and English.
