The Brauerie Beck & Co maintains a half-millennium tradition of brewing in Bremen. Though famous internationally, Beck's is a relative newcomer, having been founded by a local entrepreneur in 1873. Two-hour tours take in a museum, the former stables and the brewhouse where Germany's premier export beer is produced, all washed down with a free brew – German connoisseurs rate red-labelled Haake-Beck highly.
