The gare routière and gare SNCF are situated a short way southeast of the cathedral district, facing the futuristic Centre de Congrès Vinci, which was hugely expensive and has proved to be something of a local white elephant. Most TGVs stop at St-Pierre-des-Corps station, in an industrial estate outside the city, but frequent shuttles (or sometimes buses) provide a link to the main station.
