Bars and nightlife
1 L'Atelier 203 rue de Bourgogne Arty, studenty place, with regular concerts and exhibitions. Possibly slightly too insular if you don't speak the language as well as the bohemian regulars, but quite fun if you do.
2 Le Club 266 rue de Bourgogne Cellar club-bar with a tiny dance floor overlooked by a little mezzanine seating level. Nothing special but a friendly choice if you're out late at the weekend and want to push on past 2am. Entry €10 with a drink.
3 Paxton's Head 264–266 rue de Bourgogne If you're homesick for an archetypal English pub, this will just about fit the bill. Not the cheapest place in town, though. Daily 3pm–3am.
4 Le Petit Barcelone 218 rue de Bourgogne Friendly, informal student bar with cheap enough drinks (around €3-4 for a pint or glass of wine) and meals served from April to December.
