Expect sublime dishes like green lentils with foie gras vinagrette and crunchy pancetta.

    10 Le Riad 17 rue Galante 04.90.82.10.85 The best couscous (€13) in the city. Also does delicious tagine (€13) in an airy restaurant decorated with Moroccan rugs.

    11 Au Tout Petit 4 rue d'Amphoux 04.90.82 38.86 This tiny, unpretentious place stuck down a side alley near Les Halles doesn't look like much, but the food served here is imaginative, fresh and unbeatable. Two courses around €16.
