The excellent, airy Musée Calvet is housed in a lovely eighteenth-century palace. The collection includes a wonderful Galerie des Sculptures made up of a handful of languorous nineteenth-century marble sculptures, including Bosio's Young Indian. The gallery also houses the Puech collection with a large selection of silverware, Italian and Dutch paintings. Upstairs you'll find works by Soutine, Manet and Joseph Vernet, as well as the subtle, moving Death of Young Barra by Jacques-Louis David and Géricault's Battle of Nazareth.
