Rooms here are categorically uninspiring, but fully-equipped with a/c and wireless internet. Then there's the trumpcard of a gorgeous, heated indoor pool. Price: €66-80

The garret-style ones at the top have good views over the city's rooftops. Slightly faded, though, compared to the other options in this price range. Price: €41–80

A grand, elegant old building set in an agreeable garden next to the Musée da la vie Bourguigonne and just outside the city's hustle and bustle. The most expensive rooms are stunning; full of character and beautifully restored, while the others are plush but a little bland in comparison. Price: €101–200
