The Yorkshire country estate at West Bretton now serves as the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, where trails and paths run across 500 acres of eighteenth-century parkland, past open-air "gallery spaces" for some of Britain's most famous sculptors. The two big local names represented here are Henry Moore (1898–1986), born in nearby Castleford, and his contemporary Barbara Hepworth (1903–75), from Wakefield.
