Minimalist decor sets the tone, and the menu, the handiwork of Lancastrian chef Paul Heathcote, mixes Mediterranean and local flavours and ingredients, so expect updated working-class dishes alongside the parmesan shavings. Price: Mains £9 before 7pm, £13 later on.
