Fitzrovia
Bounded by Tottenham Court Road to the east, Great Portland Street to the west and the shabbier eastern half of Oxford Street to the south, Fitzrovia is a northern extension of Soho. Like its neighbour, it has a raffish, cosmopolitan reputation, and has attracted its fair share of writers and bohemians over the last hundred years or so, including the Pre-Raphaelites and members of the Bloomsbury Group. That said, there's a lot less going on here than in Soho, and just two real sights to visit – an ornate Victorian church on Margaret Street and Pollock's Toy Museum – since the landmark Post Office Tower is closed to the public.
