The genuinely educational Museum of Canterbury is an interactive exhibition spanning local history from the splendour of Durovernum through to the more recent literary figures of Joseph Conrad and local-born Mary Tourtel, creator of the check-trousered philanthropist Rupert Bear. An excellent thirty-minute video on the Becket story details the intriguing personalities and events that led up to his assassination.
