Ely is a major rail intersection, receiving direct trains from Liverpool, Norwich and London King's Cross, as well as from Cambridge, just twenty minutes to the south. From Ely train station, it's a ten-minute walk to the cathedral. Buses (from King's Lynn and Cambridge) stop on Market Street immediately north of the cathedral.
