2 Hospoda u muzea 1 máje Boasting a nautical porthole in the doorway and known as ponorka ("submarine"), this claustrophic tunnel of a bar is popular with a generation-spanning crew of arty nonconformists. Service is frighteningly efficient: take a seat and mugs of Pilsner will arrive on your table at regular intervals until you start screaming for mercy. Occasional gigs on the tiny stage. 3 Moritz Javořická Micro-breweryery pub serving its own rich and cloudy beers, together with a menu of nibbles and grilled meats. Big outdoor terrace in the park across the road. Opening time: Daily 11am–11pm
