Czech Republic Guide
Entry requirements
To enter the Czech Republic, citizens of the EU, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand need only a full passport, valid for at least six months beyond your return date. UK citizens can stay up to 180 days; all other EU and US citizens, Australians and New Zealanders can stay up to ninety days. Citizens of most other countries require a visa, obtainable from a Czech embassy or consulate in the country of application (see
www.mzv.cz for a list). All visitors must register with the police within three days of arrival (if you're staying in a campsite, hostel, pension or hotel, this will be done for you). If you do need a visa, note that they are no longer issued at border stations, but must be obtained in advance from a Czech embassy or consulate. If you wish to extend your visa or your stay, you need to go to the Foreigners' Police head-quarters in Prague.
