Entry requirements
Citizens of the EU, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA are allowed to enter Bulgaria visa-free for a period of ninety days. Citizens of other countries should check visa requirements with their local Bulgarian embassy before travelling. If you wish to stay in Bulgaria longer than ninety days, you are officially required to apply for a residence permit at the local police station (politseiski uchastak, or Ministerstvo na vatreshni raboti – MVR), although it is probably easier to simply leave the country and re-enter.
