La Cabaña del Café 2 C 6–50 A logwood cabin lookalike, this café offers an excellent range of coffees, including espresso (US$0.80), sandwiches and baguettes, tostadas, nachos and plenty of great cakes. Also has National Geographic magazines to browse.
2 Café Gallery Cake Opening time: Closed Sun3 C 6–69 Popular café with flavoured coffee, breakfasts, cakes and pancakes as well as a set lunch.
3 Café Jardín Price: Set lunch costs US$2.753 C and 6 Av Good for filling comida típica, this friendly place serves a filling set lunch, snacks and breakfasts.
4 Hotel Casa Blanca 7 Av 3–41 This elegant hotel dining room, with tables looking over a pretty patio garden, makes a memorable setting for a meal. Great for breakfast, or the menu includes sandwiches (US$2), omelettes and delicious mains including the house special, roast pork.
5 La Fonda de Don Juan Price: Set lunch costs US$32 C 5–35 Large, vaguely Mediterranean-looking restaurant with gingham tablecloths, though the pizza, pasta and burgers are a bit overpriced, and portions could be bigger.
6 Le Kaf 6 C Large, modern place popular with a young crowd. Fairly pricey pizza and pasta, and they offer some cocktails too.

Mi Tierra Price: Set lunch costs US$34 C 6–46 Brightly painted, civilized little café-restaurant set in a covered patio with a welcoming atmosphere. Offers a set menu, hot dogs, pasta, plus Guatemalan and Mexican food including dobladitas. Also serves good-quality coffee, and it's mostly no-smoking.
