Arriving by public bus you'll end up in the main bus terminal, a large open space beside the market, three long blocks to the west of the plaza. The noise, fumes and bustle of this part of town are similar to any other in Guatemala, and you may well be greeted by a hustler or two trying to push a hotel or language school. To get to the centre of town walk straight up 4 Calle Poniente, which leads directly to the plaza.
