Shopping galleries and malls
1 Centro Comercial Caimán Ave. 1ra e/ 61 y 62 Home to a small craft market, as well as a couple of the best gift shops in the town, and a good place for cigars, rum and perfume.
2 Centro Comercial Todo en Uno Calle 54 e/ Ave 1ra y Autopista del Sur. Another tiny group of shops but a better choice of clothing than at the other centros comerciales in the town area.
3 Galería de Tiendas Palma Real Ave. 3ra esq. Calle 62 A short line of retail outlets along a first-floor balcony where the highlight is a music shop with a plentiful supply of CDs and a surprisingly broad range of instruments, from congas and full drum sets to keyboards and guitars.
4 Plaza América Autopista del Sur The only mall and by far the best shopping centre in Varadero. This is where you'll find the largest stock of brand names (including Gucci, Bennetton and Mango), clothing boutiques and generally the more upmarket merchandise and souvenirs as well as a cigar shop and a couple of restaurants.
5 Plaza Caracol Ave. 1ra e/ 53 y 54 A comparatively slick – by Cuban standards – set of just four shops which include a small supermarket, a beach-gear specialist and a store selling toys and children's clothing.
6 Todo en Uno Calle 54 esq. Autopista del Sur This leisure complex with restaurants and fast-food outlets also has a number of shops selling clothing, sports gear and holiday items.
