2 Cafetería Pico de Cristal Martí s/n esq. Libertad This buzzing bar/café, right on Parque Calixto García, attracts a sophisticated older crowd for evening drinks. On the third floor, the Pico Cristal is a brash disco which keeps going until the early hours.
3 Casa de la Trova Maceo no.174 e/ Frexes y Martí Price: $1CUCA mixed crowd of cross-generational foreigners and Cubans fills the big wooden dance floor for exuberant salsa and traditional trova sessions, with live bands playing every night from 10pm. The club offers bolero and salsa classes and also hosts occasional conferences on Cuban music and folklore.
4 Club 80 Martíres esq. Frexes Opening time: Open till 4am Night owls in search of more mellow entertainment should head to this sultry late-night piano bar (with an original 1950s counter).
5 Mona Lisa Centro Cultural, Callejon Marcado II, Plaza de la Maqueta Opening time: Daily 9am–6pm & 9pm–1amVarious musical, cabaret and, occasionally, fashion shows are held in the pretty courtyard of this cultural centre. Usually bolero is played from Mon to Wed, and traditional music is performed on Fri.
