Arrival

    International and domestic flights land at the Aeropuerto Frank País ( 24/46-2512), about 4km out of town, from where metered taxis will run you to the centre for about $8CUC.

    Local buses and interprovincial colectivos pull into the Valiares Terminal de Omnibus in front of the Calixto García stadium car park on Avenida de los Liberatadores to the east of the centre. Interprovincial buses arrive at the Astro Estación José María, Carretera Central e/ Independencia y 20 de Mayo ( 24/42-2111), about 1km west from the centre where horse-drawn carriages, bicitaxis and taxis wait to ferry you into town. Trains arrive at Terminal de Ferrocaril Vidal Pita no.3 e/ Libertad y Maceo ( 24/42-2331), 1km south of the town centre, also served by taxis and bicitaxis.
