Buses to Gibara leave the Valiares depot in Holguín around 7am daily and take an hour to reach Gibara; you can catch a private camión truck from the same place for about 10 Cuban pesos. A metered taxi will take you there and back for $25–30CUC, depending on how many passengers there are and how hard you bargain.
