Cienfuegos and Villa Clara

Arrival

All buses pull in at the Terminal de Omnibus on Calle 49 e/ 56 y 58 ( 43/51-5720), while trains stop at the station over the road ( 43/52-5495). From here you can walk into the town centre. In the unlikely event that you take one of the few available domestic flights into Cienfuegos, they touch down at the Jaime González Airport ( 43/55-1328 & 55-2267), several kilometres to the east, from where you'll have little choice but to call for a taxi to get into the city. Arriving by car from Trinidad, you'll enter the city on Ave. 5 de Septiembre, which connects up with the city grid four blocks east of Prado, Cienfuegos's main street, also known as Calle 37, and the road on which you'll arrive if you've driven from Havana or Varadero.
