The north

Arrival

Mae Hong Son is served by buses from Bangkok (2 daily; 16hr); Chiang Mai via Mae Sariang (5 daily; 8–9hr) and Chiang Mai via Pai (3 daily; 8hr). The bus station is south of town. Mae Hong Son airport, east of town, has Thai Airways and SGA flights from Chiang Mai.
