The east coast

Snorkelling and diving

Samet has no decent coral reefs of its own, so you'll have to take a boat trip to the islands of Ko Kudi, Ko Thalu and Ko Mun, off the northeast coast, to get good snorkelling (from B500 from most beaches) or diving; Ploy Scuba on Hat Sai Kaew (038 644 212, www.ployscuba.com) charges B2700 for two dives and B15,000 for the four-day PADI Openwater course. From the main beaches you can also organize boat trips around Samet itself cost (from B350) and rent kayaks, jet skis, banana boat rides and parasailing.
