Ao Phai
Narrow but sparkling little Ao Phai is Samet's party beach, with the shoreside Silver Sand bar and disco known for its late-night dance music and fire-juggling shows fuelled by cocktails and buckets of vodka Red Bull (Saturday is unofficial gay night). Not everyone has to join in though, as the bungalows on the fringes of the bay are far enough away for a good night's sleep. There's a minimarket on the beach, a dive shop, tour service and exchange facilities, and you can walk to Na Dan pier in twenty minutes.
