The east coast

Ao Hin Kok

Separated from Hat Sai Kaew by a low promontory on which sits a mermaid statue (a reference to the early nineteenth-century poem, Phra Abhai Mani, by famous local poet Sunthorn Phu), Ao Hin Kok is much smaller than its neighbour, and has more of a travellers' vibe. Just three sets of bungalows overlook the petite white-sand beach from the slope on the far side of the dirt road, and you can walk here from the Na Dan pier in about fifteen minutes.
