The largest and most beautiful bay on Samui's northeastern cape is Choeng Mon, whose white sandy beach is lined with casuarina trees that provide shade for the bungalows and upmarket resorts, Choeng Mon is popular enough to support small supermarkets, travel agents and a bank, but on the whole it remains comparatively underdeveloped and laid-back.
