Southern Thailand: the Andaman coast
Hat Khlong Nin
The little enclave of bungalows, restaurants, bars and tour agents at HAT KHLONG NIN lend this beach more of a village atmosphere than the northern beaches. The beach itself is lovely: long and sandy and good for swimming, and free of visible commercial tat; although the road runs close alongside it, the traffic is pretty light. There are several reasonably priced places to stay here, with the cheapest beds in some hotels located in separate little garden compounds on the inland side of the road, and a low-key collection of shoreside bar-restaurants with plenty of character and mellow vibes.
