Arrival
If you're travelling by Shinkansen, you'll need to change trains at Shin-Shimonoseki Station, and go two stops on the San'yō line to Shimonoseki Station. Long-distance buses arrive at the bus station in front of Shimonoseki Station. The fastest way of connecting with Kyūshū is by train or road across Kanmon suspension bridge; traditionalists can still make the short ferry hop (¥390) from Karato Pier, around 1.5km east of Shimonoseki Station, to Moji on Kyūshū's northwest tip. If you arrive by ferry from South Korea, you'll come in at the Shimonoseki Port International Terminal, five minutes' walk from Shimonoseki Station.
