Tokyo
Kanda
Kanda, the region immediately north and west of Nihombashi, straddles Tokyo's crowded eastern lowlands – the former Shitamachi – and the more expansive western hills. The area's scattered sights reflect these contrasting styles, kicking off at Ochanomizu with the lively Shinto shrine of Kanda Myōjin, and an austere monument to Confucius at Yushima Seidō.
