Ishiguro-ke

    A little further up the street from Aoyagi-ke, the impressive Ishiguro-ke is one of the oldest of Kakunodate's samurai houses. Built in 1809 for the daimyō's financial adviser, its main features are two large kura, fireproof warehouses used for storing rice, miso and other valuables. Opening time: Daily 9am–5pmPrice: ¥300
