Decorated with a kitsch collection of framed 1970s posters and knick-knacks, you can expect a friendly welcome from the owner and her talkative pet parrot. None of the Japanese-style rooms are en suite, but everything's squeaky clean and the food's excellent. Price: ¥10000-15000
