Kyūshū

Peace Memorial Hall

The Peace Memorial Hall (daily: May– Aug 8.30am–6.30pm; Sept– April 8.30am–5.30pm; free; www.peace-nagasaki.co.jp ), also buried underground and next to the Atomic Bomb Museum, is more a place for quiet reflection. Its centrepiece is the remembrance hall where the names of victims are recorded in 141 volumes.
