Getting around

Getting around central Yokohama is best done on either the Tōkyū-Tōyoko line or the JR Negishi line. A single subway line connects Kannai and stations north to Shin-Yokohama, but services only run every five to fifteen minutes and the minimum fare is ¥200.But perhaps the most enjoyable way of getting about the city are the Sea Bassferries that shuttle between Yokohama Station and southerly Yamashita-kōen, with some services stopping at Minato Mirai and Akarenga on route. There are departures every fifteen minutes, with one-way tickets costing ¥600 to Yamashita-kōen, ¥350 to Minato Mirai and ¥500 to Akarenga.
