Uttar Pradesh

Arrival

Though Agra has no less than six railway stations, visitors are only likely to use two of them. The busiest, Agra Cantonment ("Cantt"), in the southwest, serves Delhi, Gwalior, Jhansi and most points south. Trains from Rajasthan pull in close to the Jama Masjid at Agra Fort Station, though a few also stop at Agra Cantt, which is a little further from the Taj Ganj area, though more convenient for the hotels around Sadar Bazaar.

Buses from Rajasthan and express services from Delhi terminate at Idgah Bus Stand close to Agra Cantonment Station; a few services from other destinations arrive at the more chaotic AgraFortBus Stand, just west of the fort. In addition, some buses from Delhi stop outside the fort gate, where you'll have no trouble finding a rickshaw.
