The centrepiece of the lush Ram Niwas Gardens, the eye-catching Albert Hall, houses Jaipur's Central Museum. It's a real colonial period piece, from the dilapidated Victorian-era decor to the mildewed exhibits themselves, which appear not to have been dusted since the nineteenth century. The ground floor features displays on assorted Rajasthani ethnic groups and artisanal traditions. From the first-floor library, which has a good selection of miniature paintings, you can climb up to the fancifully decorated rooftop, with breezy views out over the surrounding parkland.
