There's no regular bus service from Biju Patnaik airport into town but taxis and auto-rickshaws cover the 2–3km journey to the centre. Long-distance buses terminate at the inconveniently situated Baramunda Bus Stand, 5km out on the western edge of town, though not before making a whistle-stop tour of the centre. Ask to be dropped at Station Square (look for a statue of a horse in the middle of a large roundabout), which is near most hotels.
