Arrival

Amritsar's airport, served by Indian Airlines and Air India flights from Delhi, as well as some international flights, lies 12km northwest of the city. Taxis (around Rs200) and auto-rickshaws (Rs100) run to the town centre. The railway station is conveniently located in the centre of town, north of the old city. The large, new bus stand is off GT Road on the eastern edge of the city centre.
