Ahmedabad's internationalairport ( 
079/286 9266) is linked to the city, 10km south, by pre-paid taxi (Rs250–300), auto-rickshaw (Rs150) and city bus #101, which terminates at Lal Darwaja, the local bus station in the west of the old city, near most of the hotels. Long-distance buses arrive at the statebus stand in the southeast of the old city, 1km from the hotels, while Ahmedabadrailway station is to the east, at the far end of Relief Road and MG Road. Some trains also arrive at the Gandhidham Station in the west of the city. City buses to Lal Darwaja run from both the railway station (#37, #56, #135, #122 and #133) and the bus stand (#13/1, #32 and #52/2) – if you can't read Gujarati numbers, ask at the information booth.
