4 Huayuan Junction of Galan Lu and Xuan Wei Lu 0691/8985070 Well located on the river side of the town centre, this hotel has large, spotless (though oddly shaped) twin rooms. Try to get a room at the back, as those along the road can be noisy late into the night and in the early morning. Price: ¥50-79
5 Jinpeng Junction of Minzu Lu and Xuan Wei Lu 0691/2198812 Though hideous on the outside, once inside this is a fairly pleasant if generic business hotel. Clean, spacious and extremely handy for the bus station. Price: ¥200-299
6 Kingland Hotel 6 Jingde Dong Lu 0691/2129999 2199198 The entrance to this luxury option – with gym, sauna, restaurants and business centre – is marked by two enormous elephant statues. The marble-clad lobby and ethnic staff uniforms create an impressive atmosphere, but one rather lacking genuine local flavour. Price: ¥600-800
