1 The Tibet Gang-Gyen Carpet Factory Zhufeng Lu, a few minutes' walk from the entrance of Tashilunpo Monastery The carpets here are made from ninety-percent sheep's wool and ten-percent cotton, and you can watch the whole process, from the winding of the wool through to the weaving and finishing. They have a good range of traditional and modern designs, ranging in price from US$30 up to US$370, and can also arrange shipping. Opening time: Mon– Fri 9am–12.30pm & 2.30–7pm
