    Price: ¥20

Address: Zhongshan Dong Lu: 3km east of Xinjiekou (buses #5 and #9 from Xinjiekou; #20 from Gulou)

The huge Nanjing Museum is one of the best provincial museums in China, especially in terms of clarity of explanations – nearly everything is labelled in English. Highlights include some superb silk-embroidered sedan chairs and several heavy cast bronzes, dating from as early as the Western Zhou (1100–771 BC). The jade and lacquerwork sections, as well as the model Fujian trading ships, are also well worth seeing.
