Hong Kong Park is a hilly but beautiful spot, full of greenery, lotus ponds and waterfalls, and a firm favourite with brides wanting wedding photographs. The highlight is the Edward YoudeAviary, where raised walkways lead you through a re-created rainforest canopy inside a giant meshed enclosure, with rare and colourful birds swooping about, nesting and breeding. Near the Queen's Road entrance, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware is an elegant colonial structure built between 1844 and 1846, and houses three thousand Chinese artefacts related to tea making. You can sample quality brews next door – and buy good-value tea and reproduction antique teaware – at the pricey but pleasant Lock Cha Teahouse, which also serves dim sum snacks.
