Phoenix airport is 15km west of town, a ¥40 taxi ride into the city.
Sanya's main long-distance bus station is at the northern end of Jiefang Lu and handles normal and luxury buses to Haikou, and normal services to just about everywhere on the island, including Dongfang, Tongshi and Wenchang.
